November 5 2011, Australia has changed it's students visa policy, The new changed visa policy has made the visa processing easier and transparent . Here in you can have few more information about the Students visa policy and the process, at the end of the post you can have the official link by which you can get more information about the changes.

Condition of Funds: 
1.       For assessment level 3 ( 573) courses like Higher Diploma ,  Bachelor  and  Master  we need to  show only first 18 month fees, living and airfare . 
2.  For the assessment level 2 (572) courses means Vocational diploma, advanced Diploma, Certificate 4 course we need to show 3 month minimum balance instead of 6 month of prior. 

 Point should be noted : 

1.        Fund should be 3 month old
2.       It could be from 3rd party sponsorship ( in 573 subclass)
3.       Income Ratio should be 25% or more of sponsor side.
4.       Living cost for applicant 18000 AUD per year.
5.       Living cost for applicant partners 6300 AUD per year.
6.       Living cost for applicant first child 3600   AUD per year.
7.       Living cost for applicant another child 2700 AUD per year. 

Documents required for application:
All Academic documents (Colored Scan copy)
1.       Passport copy
2.       IELTS Certificate
3.       Experience letter if there is study gap.
4.       Photograph passport size.

New Rule for Australia
 DIAC has announced some new rules for students visa, which is subject to the signing approval of minister, these rules are going to be in effect from 5th of November.

 Introducing GTE Criteria (Genuine Temporary Entrance): following factor count under the GTE criteria:
1.     Applicant’s academic background should be sound.
2.     Applicant’s English should be good.
3.     Immigration history of applicant.
4.     Study gap and age.
5.     Applicant’s current situation in Nepal and of dependent situation as well as if applicable.
6.     Interview – Students career goal, why he/she select this course, why this university or institute, Why Australia etc.
Financial Requirement for AL3 and AL4
Financial requirement for AL3 (573 and 575 Subclass) is reduces, course level comes under these sub-classes are:
Subclass 573 (AL3): Higher Diploma, Associates Degree, Bachelor, Bachelor (Honor), Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master by coursework.
575 Subclass (AL 3): Foundation Studies program, and Non Award programs .
 Changes:
 Funds required showing for maximum 18 month only.
Fund should be 3 month old
Anyone can sponsor.


Subclass 572 (AL4): Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma.

 Changes: Funds required showing for maximum 2 years
Fund should be 3 month old,
Only blood relatives (Parents, Grand Parents, Real Brother Sister) can sponsor or Aunt Uncle if they are PR or Citizen of Australia.

 eCOE is Mandatory for Paper visa and E Visa Both :
 We cannot submit a file on the basis of offer letter only, Student must have to pay their fee and get the eCOE before applying for visa. PVA system has been abolished.

 Working Rights are 40 hours per fortnight:
 Earlier working right were 20 hours per week, but students can work 40 hours per fortnight.
English Tests:
TOEFL (IBT), IELTS, PTE and CAE tests are accepted by DIAC.
 Introducing PIC (Public interest criteria):
If any of the documents provided to DIAC/AHC will be find forge then DIAC will refuse the visa and applicant will not be able to apply for a visa to Australia for 3 years.
